Biodegradable Plastic Material Business

On December 30, 2021, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy announced the establishment of the 'K-Circular Economy Implementation Plan for Carbon Neutrality' in South Korea. Through this plan, resource circularity in the production and distribution stages is enhanced, promoting the substitution of conventional petroleum-based plastics with petroleum-based bioplastics.

By 2023, they aim for a 20% reduction in household plastic usage and a 15% reduction in workplace plastic usage. By 2050, their goal is to achieve a 100% reduction in disposable plastic and a 45% reduction in workplace plastic, focusing on incineration and landfill targets. Biodegradable plastics are poised to become an essential presence in the future.
